Mike Berger

Chief Executive Officer

Mike Berger was appointed Chief Executive Officer of Air Transport Services Group (ATSG) in June 2024. He joined ATSG in 2018 and was promoted to President in October 2023. Before serving as President, Berger held leadership roles as the company’s Chief Strategy Officer, Chief Commercial Officer, and President of Airborne Global Solutions, a subsidiary of ATSG.

Prior to joining ATSG, Berger served as Chief Commercial Officer for Dicom Transportation Group of Canada and held senior management positions with major global air express companies, including TNT Europe, DHL, and Airborne Express.

Berger is recognized for his approachable leadership style and his commitment to building strong teams. He emphasizes collaboration, innovation, and accountability, fostering an environment where employees can thrive and contribute to the company’s growth. Beyond the business, he is passionate about strengthening connections with the communities ATSG serves, supporting workforce development, education, and charitable initiatives that create long-term impact.

He holds a bachelor’s degree in business management and marketing from Temple University.
 

Greg Mays

President

Greg Mays is President of Air Transport Services Group, bringing more than 30 years of experience in aviation, airline operations, and MRO leadership. He is a seasoned executive recognized for driving operational excellence, fostering strong teams, and guiding organizations through transformation and growth.

Prior to joining ATSG, Greg served as Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer at Sun Country Airlines. During his tenure, Sun Country successfully executed its Initial Public Offering (IPO) in March 2021 and was responsible for leading the safe execution of growth objectives across safety and security, system operations control, flight operations, inflight, ground operations, and technical operations. Prior he held senior executive roles at Alaska Airlines and spent more than a decade with Delta Air Lines. Greg began his career with The Boeing Company as a design and test engineer on the International Space Station program.

Greg holds an MBA from Emory University and a degree in Aerospace Engineering from the University of Alabama. Throughout his career, he has been recognized as a people-focused and driven leader with a proven record of empowering teams and achieving results. At ATSG, he is committed to building on the company’s strong foundation by emphasizing safety, operational excellence, sustainable growth, and profitability while creating opportunities for employees, partners, and customers.

Josh Carter

Chief Legal Officer

Josh Carter was appointed Chief Legal Officer and Secretary of Air Transport Services Group, Inc. (ATSG) in August 2025. He oversees legal, compliance, security, and internal audit functions, and advises the Board and executive leadership on governance, regulatory matters, enterprise risk, and strategic transactions.

With over 15 years of experience in aerospace, defense, and energy, Mr. Carter has held senior legal roles at TE Connectivity, GKN Aerospace, and Marathon Petroleum Corporation. He began his career working at the U.S. Air Force, leading major aircraft acquisitions as a supervisory contracting officer.

Mr. Carter is recognized for aligning legal strategy with business objectives—accelerating growth, navigating regulatory complexity, and leading compliance transformation. He holds a J.D., magna cum laude, from Capital University Law School, a bachelor’s degree from the University of Dayton, and is a graduate of the U.S. Air Force Air Command and Staff College. He also completed a Mini MBA for In-House Counsel at Boston University’s Questrom School of Business.

A native of Jamestown, Ohio, he previously worked at Airborne Express in 2002 supporting night sort operations and remains deeply committed to its mission and people.

Todd France

Chief Commercial Officer

Todd France stepped into the role of Chief Commercial Officer for Air Transport Services Group in August 2024, bringing more than two decades of experience within the company. Since joining in 2002, he has taken on increasingly complex leadership roles, shaping key areas of ATSG’s business along the way.

In addition, Todd serves as President of Cargo Aircraft Management, a position he has held since 2022, overseeing the company’s aircraft leasing operations. Before that, he led Airborne Maintenance & Engineering Services as President, guiding the business through critical growth and innovation from 2020 to 2022. His time at Airborne also included leadership roles in business development and operations, where he played a pivotal role in expanding the company’s capabilities.

Todd’s career began at ABX Air, where he gained extensive experience in ground and hub operations, holding leadership roles that gave him a deep understanding of the air cargo industry’s inner workings.

A graduate of California State University, Fresno, with a degree in business administration, Todd combines strategic vision with hands-on industry expertise to drive ATSG’s commercial success.

Ed Koharik

Chief Operating Officer

Edward J. Koharik III was named Chief Operating Officer for ATSG in September 2019. He is responsible for all aspects of the day-to-day operations of ATSG's airlines, maintenance, and service businesses.

Prior to joining ATSG, Koharik was most recently senior vice president of FlightSafety International in New York City. Earlier, he was a director at the U.S. Transportation Command, working with more than 400 commercial providers of transportation services to supplement the federal government’s own transport resources.

Koharik graduated from the United States Air Force Academy with a Bachelor of Science degree in Aeronautical Engineering. He also holds a Master’s degree in Computer Resources and Information Management from Webster University and a Master’s in Military Operational Art and Science from Air University at Maxwell Air Force Base in Alabama.

Quint Turner

Chief Financial Officer

Quint O. Turner is Chief Financial Officer of Air Transport Services Group, Inc. Turner is responsible for the company's finances, financial planning, financial risk management, record-keeping, and financial reporting.

Turner has held the role of Chief Financial Officer for the company since 2004. His prior roles with ABX Air included Vice President of Administration, Corporate Director of Financial Planning and Accounting, Director of Financial Planning, and Manager of Planning. Turner joined ABX Air in 1988 as a Staff Auditor. Prior to joining the company, he was an Auditor for Touche Ross & Co.

Turner is a Certified Public Accountant and earned a Bachelor of Science degree from Miami University (Ohio).

Matt Fedders

Vice President & Controller

Matt Fedders was named to his current position with ATSG in May 2013. He has been Corporate Controller since June 2008. Prior to this he held the role of Director of Financial Reporting/Controller for ABX Air, Inc. since October 2003. Before then Matt worked in various financial management and controllership positions at GE Capital and Structural Dynamics Research Corporation (now part of Siemens PLM Solutions) from 1995 to 2003, and worked for Ernst & Young’s audit practice from 1989 to 1995.

He holds a bachelor’s degree in accountancy from Miami University (Ohio) and a master’s degree in business administration from Xavier University. He is a Certified Public Accountant (inactive).

Trisha Frank

Vice President, Government Programs

Trisha Frank was appointed to her current position with ATSG in July of 2021. Trisha also serves as Vice President of Government Programs for Omni Air International, overseeing the airline’s charter sales and Civil Reserve Air Fleet (CRAF) contract with the U.S. Department of Defense. In 2011, she became the Team Lead for the Patriot Team, which comprises nine commercial airlines committed to augment the military’s own air transport capabilities. She will continue to focus on this important management responsibility. She also serves as the Public Affairs Coordinator for the Airlift/Tanker Association. Trisha holds a bachelor’s degree in business administration from Oklahoma State University.

Paul Harding

Vice President, Information Technology

Paul Harding is Vice President of Information Technology at ATSG. Since joining ATSG as a manager in 2017, Paul has been instrumental in advancing the company’s customer-focused mission by applying new technology to ensure that we operate more efficiently and with more flexibility than ever before. He has assembled a talented team of IT personnel who understand the importance of providing reliable customer service while adapting to new technologies and business changes. He and his team have modernized key systems, upgraded our infrastructure, improved our stance on cyber security, and broadened our capabilities through strategic partnerships with technology vendors. Prior to joining ATSG, Paul worked in technology implementation and team management roles at Sungard, IBM, and EDS.

ERNIE HAYES

Vice President, Human Capital

Ernie Hayes was appointed to his current position with ATSG in April of 2024. Prior, he served as Director of Human Resources for Airborne Global Services, where he oversaw all HR efforts in AGS, ATS, CAM, and LGSTX Services as well as the corporate office.

Ernie has more than two decades of HR experience including leadership positions with DHL, SanMar Corporation, E.W. Scripps, Macy's, Huntington Bank, and 409 Group. He holds a bachelor’s degree from Xavier University, a certification designation of SPHR from the Human Resources Certification Institute, and designated certification of SHRM-SCP from the Society of Human Resources Management.
